How do I deal with a school change?

I most likely have to leave my current school, an expensive, high ranking, private school, to go to public high school next year because of my grades. I am naturally a very shy person and didn't get to know half my friends until haldf way through whatever year I met them. I am legitimately afraid that I will have no friends next year, because i would be going into sophomore year, and am very shy, and very weird, which I like but others don't. I am really scared that I will get picked on and be sort of an outcast like I was for the first few years at my current school. What can I do to kale this better? Is there anything that could help me throu this?
