What do i do with this girl?

hey, i met this girl about a month ago just after she broke up with her boyfriend. She always told me she liked me so much, and that i was one of the hottest guys in school. she would always be missing me, and she seemed to attatched to me which i actually liked. lately, shes had been kind of short while we were texting, and i always question if she likes me or not. her grandfather collapsed, and is now in the hospital, but he is getting better. a few days later, our friend died in a car accident. she has been very, very short and it is hard to keep a conversation going. she says its the death thats making her short, but she started being short before the death. i dont know what to do about this. she hasnt told me she liked me or missed me recently, so im not sure whats going on. can anyone help me, or suggest something please? thanks
